Yesterday I added this post to my Design Practice page but it probably belongs here instead!
Here are some "G's" i have decided to use as starting points for a collection of letters which symbolically represent the action word "POP". I have chosen 'G' because it is a versatile letter which can take many forms, so i have a lot of room for experimentation.

Alphabet Soup Part 1. Intitial Research (repost)
Here is the dictionary definition of the word "POP" as a verb. I will use this to help me start off the creative process of applying "POP" to the letter 'G'.

verb (used without object)

to make a short, quick, explosive sound: The cork popped.

to burst open with such a sound, as chestnuts or corn in roasting.

to come or go quickly, suddenly, or unexpectedly: She popped into the kitchen to check the stove.

to shoot with a firearm: to pop at a mark.
5.
to protrude from the sockets: The news made her eyes pop.

OUGD401HowTo; Group Map Research
As a group we all went off to find a selection of maps which we could take inspiration from. We all came back with very different images. I mainly looked at maps from PC games, as these are probably the maps I tend to see most frequently. Others came back with theme park maps, zoo maps, etc. Our favourites where a collection of hand drawn maps that tom found.
