They are from the Mexican artist and poet Posada and continue with the theme of the Spanish named El Capitan. Using a Latin style is something I am interested in for the development of my zine.
Posada began the Mexican day of the dead style which used dark imagery of well dressed skeletons. This imagery is still very popular in Mexican art and design.
