5 Post-Modernist Graphic Designers

1. Johnathan Barnbrook.

Employs grunge post modern style to vocalise views on social and political issues. Mashes up image and text, with reduced legibility for decorational purposes. Uses bright or unpleasant colour sometimes for stylisation only. Designs decorative type and gains influence from traditional fonts.

4. Neville Brody

Described as super contemporary, Brody creates decorative text and merges it with unconventional imagery and often uses fairly ugly colours by normal design standards. He furthers a post modern image by using strange grids and unreadable text.

5. Victor Moscoso

Designer of psychedelic posters for bands starting in the 60's. His crazy style was far removed from the Swiss style which was also developing at the time. Use of heavily contrasting colour and photo on swirling pattern backgrounds was his signature style.
